This major interchange project connects
I-40 and the south end of the new Kickapoo Turnpike. This project replaces 1.5 miles of
I-40 concrete pavement, expanding the capacity from four lanes to six lanes. The project includes 5 bridges, with drilled shaft and driven pile foundations, and over 14,000 linear feet of pre-stressed concrete beams.

This project consists of 3 sets of twin bridges and approximately 1 mile of new grading. Bridges E and F are 3-span concrete beam bridges over Luther Road; Bridges G and H are 3-span concrete beam bridges over 59th Street; Bridges I and J are 3-span concrete J-beam bridges, with 84” drilled shaft foundation, over an unnamed creek. The grading work included over 600,000 CY of Unclassified Borrow.

This project includes a 4-span bridge over
I-35 and service roads, with decorative form liners and ornamental fence. There is also a single span bridge over Little River. Roadway improvements include widening to 4 lanes on Telephone Road and SW 34th Street, concrete pavement, underground drainage structures, and traffic signals.

This pavement reconstruction project was one of the first Driving Forward program projects. It begins near Broken arrow and extends southeast for 9.08 miles. The project consists of stabilized subgrade, aggregate base, dowel jointed PCC pavement, concrete barrier wall, and signing and striping.
